If you make a post criticizing Kent State right now, I bet you not one person would say “But whaddabout Tiennanman Square?!” See the difference? The Kent State shootings had nothing to do with the US Army or the US government. The Ohio National Guard shot those kids. At least pick up a fucking history book if you’re going to try deflecting with something completely unrelated.

A brief search on Kent State tells me that the President put together a Commission to figure out what exactly happened. Which then forced the National Guard to re-evaluate their tactics in such situations and led to them adopting non lethal tactics. Also there are plenty of memorials and the like up in that area.
As compared to Tiananmen Square where they censor the ever loving shit out of any mention of the incident.
