Man if you look at this thread on Kbin and then again via another instance like Fedia, there are number of comments not federating across both instances. Kbin counts 24 comments and Fedia just 19. The missing comments on Fedia seem to be Kbin users. There’s some comments in here that are upwards of 8 hours old that have not made it to both instances. This is really problematic.
Yeah the comments are not federating across fedia/kbin. I’m only seeing your comments on this thread when you’ve posted them on the server I am currently viewing. Even 8 hours after you commented.
Appreciate the communication, hope you get well soon
Are the Mbin instances well federated so you’re still getting about the same mix of content? They all seem pretty small in terms of subscriber count
Or it could cause a mistrial and he gets off the hook yet again
And this would help how?
I’m a big fan of Kbin but the project is a total mess right now and kbin.social is always down or only partially working. And there’s next to no communication about what’s happening.
I don’t wanna do it but it might be time to pull up stakes and figure something else out.
Why would that be a good thing?
You realize that leaking these documents could result in a mistrial?
This is most likely an attempt to get him off the hook via mistrial.
Lol these people are so trashy
Yeah and none of the switch emulator stuff I’ve seen comes bundled with the firmware. You have to track that down separately or dump your own from your Switch.
This sure looks like like a slapp suit to me.
Totally disagree with you. VR even in its currently pretty early stages is an absolute blast. Some of the most fun I’ve had gaming any time recently has been on a Quest 2. And I grew up on 8 and 16 bit consoles so I’ve been through the gamut of gaming experiences.
When the technology does another 5-10 years of advancing it’s going to be absolutely huge.
And to your point about old people not getting tech, my grandmother and mom both love VR and play games and do workouts on Quest together. They actually use them more than I do.
I wonder if in the context of storing 200 TB whether the added cost now makes sense given what a comparable SSD or HDD equivalent would run.
In the Netherlands open faced sandwiches are pretty common snacks kids will make. Slice of bread commonly with toppings like ham, gouda, hard boiled egg, etc. Also peanut butter is a popular topping for bread, though having it with jam is a lot less common than in the US.
A very specifically Dutch thing would be piece of toast with butter and then literally sprinkles on top (like you might put on ice cream). The Dutch eat a shitload of that stuff. Also popular on buttered toast or rusk are little anise seeds coated in sugar, referred to as muisjes.
Yeah if you watch the iFixit tear down it’s obvious these things are just packed to the gills with tech. I’m not mega surprised they ended up costing so much. It’s really bleeding edge.
That said it’s way too expensive for me to get on board and I think they made some poor choices. Especially the outer display. The amount of weight, battery drain, fragility, and (presumably) expense that display alone added is just plain dumb. And it looks a lot worse IRL than in their videos.
I also think the aluminum looks great but I wonder how much lighter the headset would be if it were plastic without the outer display and glass.
Enshittification strikes again
