Right after I reported his absence to police, and explained our separation in an email, I received a strange phone call. I usually don’t answer it if I’m at work, but I thought it might be an emergency. When I answered it, I heard a man in the background screaming for help, and moaning, as if in pain. I kept saying, “hello?!?” Eventually, a man with a Spanish accent said, “hello?” and then cut the call. The man who was screaming in the background sounded like a white guy; very similar voice to my husband, actually.

I haven’t told anyone, except my family about it. My dad (man who raised me) said to “let it go”. He actually told me to let it go with regard to my husband being missing for years.

I have attached an image of the phone number that called me. I don’t know if anyone is able to trace it without breaking any laws, but if someone can, I’d love to know who owns that number.

What do I do?

Get a better lawyer, divorce him as you were advised in the previous threads, and do not try to contact him yourself anymore. Truly let all that psychodrama go.
